Who and why
About GTS
Our mission
„Our mission is to drive efficient, resilient, sustainable and transparent end2end Value Chains in the Textile & Fashion industry by simplifying and automating the exchange of data between all stakeholders – from fiber to recycling.“
Three pillars of GTS
Global IT Esperanto
- For one-time simple mapping & translation of data into predefined codes
- The main mapping challenge is eliminated (clarification of the meaning of individual data words, without which future- and AI-oriented mapping does not work)
- No more 1:n mapping with each of your partners – just one translation per product class
Initiative & think tank
- Development and maintenance of the GTS standard with input from qualified experts from the member companies – for a continuous improvement process
- Early insights into key Legal-, Market- and IT-developments, including the opportunity to shaping them
- Opportunity to adapt existing in-house processes and the affected systems at an early stage
- Exchange with other members & learning from practice for practise and for the upcoming legislation
Platform functions
Selected platform functionalities in addition to other platforms
- Provision of BOM-, e-commerce and sustainability data for web shops and/or product descriptions
- Transmission of demand data between brand & supplier
- Management of all types of certificates and product data sheets
Together for a circular economy
The GTS-Initiative
We are an industry-driven initiative representing the interests of both large and small players in the textile industry. All members and partners have the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping the GTS standard – participation is not mandatory, though. By bringing in their market know how and specific needs, stakeholders can influence the evolution of the standard. GTS also aims to connect key industry players, fostering synergies to accelerate progress in the important field of data and the transformation to a circular economy – especially with regard to the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
